In a bold act of defiance, students of a Government Primary School for Girls in Kot Addu protested against a landlord’s attempt to convert their school into commercial land.

Concerned about the unauthorized construction work in their school premises, the girls acted quickly by reporting it to the Circle SDPO, DSP Tahir Ejaz. After receiving the complaint, SDPO Tahir Ejaz sent DPO Hussnain Haider and AC Asghar Laghari DPO for immediate intervention.

A joint team comprising revenue officials, police and SDPO Tahir Ejaz went to the spot to investigate the allegations. Eyewitnesses confirmed that Malik Ghulam Abbas and his sons Muhammad Younis and Amir’s partner Abdul Khaliq were constructing commercial buildings in the school premises.

After careful investigation, it was determined that the site belonged to a school. As a result, law enforcement arrested the homeowner and his friends and initiated criminal charges against them.

As a major step, the Deputy Commissioner ordered the demolition of unauthorized structures, including shops and houses built on school property. DPO Hasnain Haider appreciated the bravery and vigilance of the young students and said that their actions successfully protected the sanctity of the campus.

The swift action of the students showed their desire to protect their right to education and protect the sanctity of their school. Their courage to stand up against illegal interference is an inspiring example for communities everywhere.
